Registration

  • Used for Boat Owner Bringing a Boat to the Event. Boat owner bringing a guest to an event must be the same person designated on the membership application as the "spouse or significant other" indicated by their "bundled membership" and must be the boat owner's co-driver for the event. This person will pay one-half the event fee as the guest of the boat owner for the full membership year. Co-driver may attend single day events for no-charge as related to boating costs. Contact Event Chair to manually apply credit for co-driver who is not participating in water-sports.

Event Overview:  Learn to Ski/Improve your Water Ski Skills.

Summer is nearing the corner!

Come out and join us for a great day on the water where you can learn how to water ski or improve your water skiing skills.

9:30 am sharp - We will depart from Discovery Bay
boat ramp.
We will search for the best water and then meet up for lunch at Union Point Restaurant and exchange boat passengers.

4:30 pm - End of  a wonderful day.  We will head back to the marina to help boat owners with any equipment/boat needs, wipe down the boats and depart for the day. 

 Last day to  cancel:  Sunday May 29, 2016

We must RECEIVE your check by 6/3/15.


This event could fill-up quickly as we will put  no more than 4 people in each boat to allow each skier/coach enough time to practice a skill.  

Event Details:
9:00 am
- Meet at Discovery Bay launch ramp 

9:15 am - Meet with Ralph Rast or Christine Donnelly (on the launch ramp dock) for your boat assignment to board your boat by 9:20 am. 

9:30 am sharp - Boats depart!

Tip:  Drive to the boat ramp to unload your gear.  You may have to park in the main parking lot which is ~150 yards away. 

Union Point Restaurant will be the meeting place for lunch located on the water at the end of Victoria Slu. 

You can choose to bring your own lunch or try the hamburgers, milk shakes, etc. at the restaurant.
Note:  No alcoholic beverages allowed during the day of skiing.

This is a learn to ski/improve your skiing event where our own seasoned skiers will be available to help beginners learn how to get up on skies for the first time to coaching advanced skiers on how to improve their form and start preparing to enter the course. 

No matter what ski level you are - - - if your goal is to learn something new or focus on improving 1-2 things about your style - - -  this event is for you!!   

Note:    The club has a separate Wake Board Skill Building Day.

Special Instructions:
When you register on the BAWSC website, make sure to include your cell number. 

Each participant needs to bring their own equipment
(coast guard-approved vest, gloves, skies).
  If you don't have your own equipment please contact the event chair several days before the event to discuss options as the club does not have any loaner gear.
