Please note that the On-Scene instructor spends extra time focusing on situations we may encounter as boaters. Greg Annable and May Yam, who have been CPR certified for over 6 years, have referred Kirk from On-Scene Safety, who is one of the best instructors in the industry.

Our instructor, Kirk Talen, is a professional firefighter/ EMT with over 16 years of experience. His background experience also includes 9 years working as an emergency room technician and as a patient recovery technician at the local surgery center. He left the ER and the surgery center in 1998 due to the increased demands of ON-SCENE. His 4 years of ambulance work and 8 years as a white water river guide provide this founding member and owner of ON-SCENE SAFETY with added perspective and a breadth of "real world experience."

Kirk brings over 11 years of teaching experience and it shows. His knowledge of the subject, entertaining presentation, humorous style and his genuine concern for people’s health and safety will keep you engaged and doing a few belly laughs. Not only will you leave the class with the skills needed for performing life saving assistance, you will have a great time in the class!
