Greetings, BAWSC Watersports Enthusiasts!
As spring continues to deliver a mix of sunshine and rain, warmer days are quickly approaching — creating the perfect backdrop for another incredible watersports season! Waiting with dire anticipation to get back out on the water and enjoy our favorite watersport, now’s a great time to check out the club calendar and start planning which events you’d like to participate in.
For starters, we’re kicking off May with the annual Spring Social/Season Opener on Saturday, May 3, a great opportunity to bring along friends who are interested in joining the club. It’s also an ideal time for anyone to renew their membership on the spot and catch up with fellow watersports enthusiasts!
For those curious about learning how to drive a boat and pull skiers for the club, grab your spot now at the Boat Drivers Clinic on Friday, May 30. This hands-on session will cover everything from skier guidelines and parallel parking to towing skiers, surfers, and boarders, along with important crew member responsibilities and water safety rules. Space is limited to 9 participants, so hurry and sign up! You’ll find additional details in Larry Ligon’s ‘Boat Drivers Clinic’ article.
And that’s not all — the board has some exciting updates planned for this watersports season. Get a sneak peek at Chris Feduniw’s ‘From the Board’ article to see what’s in store!
For a full list of upcoming and past events, check out this edition of the newsletter or visit the club website, www.bawsc.org, for the latest updates and event details.
Lastly, if you’re looking for a great way to support the club, have fun and feel rewarded along the way, please consider volunteering as a board member.
